Education & Career
Prof. Dr. Yusuf Kalko was born in 1970 in Kağızman, Kars. He graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. He completed his cardiovascular surgery specialty training at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, becoming a specialist in 2001. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2009 and later became a Professor.
He worked at Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital (2001–2010) and at Istanbul Medical Park Hospital (2010–2017) as the physician responsible for aortic and peripheral artery surgery. Since 2017 he has worked at İstinye University Bahçeşehir Liv Hospital in peripheral vascular surgery.
Academic Work
He has 20 international and 30 national publications and has presented 142 papers at scientific meetings. His areas of interest include varicose veins, peripheral artery disease, carotid artery disease, diabetic foot, aortic aneurysm and minimally invasive / hybrid vascular procedures.
